Abstract

This paper presents an application PIC microcontroller for web service for live monitoring in fiber to the home (FTTH). We focus on distributed real-time systems, which stand to benefit most from the use of web services technology. For this propose the PIC microcontroller is used control any optical switch connected to it, and send information to web server. It was successfully identified without affecting communication signal transmission, with the specification available a complete system can be made with 24 man-hours. The system will to improve the service reliability and reduce the maintenance cost.
