Wavelength demultiplexing study on LiNbO3 directional coupler elements using beam propagation method

    Abstract

    Beam propagation method (BPM) was used to study 4×4 active switch with electrooptical effects for titanium diffused lithium niobate (Ti-LiNbO3) based directional coupler design. This design is capable of de-multiplexing the wavelength from two groups, 1100 nm to 1300 nm and 1500 nm to 1600 nm. The simulation result shows that demultiplexing can be done perfectly using BPM_CAD.
