Abstract

It has been analyzed that the procedure PMSS1 has R-order of convergence at least four. The modified method of PMSS1 is called the point repeated midpoint symmetric single-step procedure PRMSS1 which has R-order of convergence at least (3r + 1) (r ≥ 1), where the forward and backward steps in PMSS1 are repeated r times. The convergence analysis of PRMSS1 is elaborately shown in the convergence analysis.
