Abstract
Magnetic and Mössbauer measurements are reported on the μ-phase and Laves phase FeNb intermetallic compounds. In the μ-phase there is a large Fe moment (3μB) and antiferromagnetism below 270K. The Laves phase is weakly ferromagnetic, the ferromagnetism becoming stronger on both sides of stoichiometry.
