SOM and cost optimization tools for ITLMS via LOS link system

Abstract

The aims of this paper to calculate the wave propagation under various Geographical environments and link optimization software development for ITLMS radio. The software presents a design tool for line of sight link planning. The main factor in a ITLMS network depends on antenna heights. The heights antennas are normally chosen to defeat the first Fresnel zone obstruction. A software tool for the analysis and evaluation of a single ITLMS link for point to point has been developed. In addition, link optimization method for the ITLMS network involving more than two antennas has been developed. The method will be an extension of the multiple link algorithms. This paper includes calculations and analysis of the geographical data in the chosen area in order to determine the effective earth's radius to achieve better optimization. In addition, terrain profile generation and ITLMS point-to-point link calculation was considered.
