Abstract

In this work, the synthesis of some new trans-oxazolidines by a regio- and stereo-controlled reaction of NH-ketoaziridines with isocyanate in the presence of silica sulfuric acid is reported. A plausible mechanism has been proposed. The structure of the regio-isomeric products was confirmed by X-ray analysis.
