Panhypopituitarism and psychosis: Issues and challenges in management

Abstract

Objective: This case report aims to highlight the issues and challenges faced in managing a case of panhypopituitarism with psychosis. Methods: We report a case of a man who was diagnosed as having panhypopituitarism and a few years later developed psychosis. Results: The patient was managed by both the medical and the psychiatric team and he obtained partial remission. Conclusion: There is a need to recognize psychosis as one of the presentations in panhypopituitarism that may pose treatment challenge.
