OXADM linear/multiplex protection in different transmission rate

Abstract

OXADM is a device that offers a variety of interesting functions required by the communications network designers today. 'Accumulating signals on one channel' and U-turn ensure enhancement of network survivability features by mean of linear protection and ring protection mechanism. This study is to investigate the effect of changes in the rate of data transmission on optical ring network performance by examining the breakdown area.
