Oscillation criteria for ordinary differential equations of second order nonlinear with alternating coefficients

Abstract

Several new oscillation criteria are established under quite general assumptions. Our results generalize and extend some earlier results of the literature. Examples are given to illustrate the results. We employ the averaging technique to obtain sufficient conditions for oscillation in the solutions of our equation.
