On the frequency response of silver metal with cylindrical geometry

Abstract

Frequency response of silver metal is illustrated by using circularly cylindrical scatterer as an example. It is observed that silver metal shows the behavior of double-positive, epsilon-negative and the particular case of nihility metamaterials at different ranges of applied frequency. Further, the numerical results demonstrate the dependence of echo width of the cylinder on the wavelength of perpendicular and parallel polarizations of applied field.
