Abstract

The possibilities of producing efficient and economical thin-film photocells based on semiconductor A**2B**6 solid solutions by the chemical vapor deposition of OECs in a hydrogen stream were investigated. This article shows that it is possible to obtain A**2B**6 solid-solution films by this method. In this case, a ternary Zn//xCd//1// minus //xS film was produced. The initial materials used in the process were dimethyl zinc (CH//3)//2Zn, dimethyl cadmium (CH//3)//2Cd, and hydrogen sulfide H//2S.
