N-(2-Furoyl)-N′-(6-methyl-2-pyridyl)thiourea

Abstract

The title mol-ecule, C12H11N3O2S, adopts a cis-trans configuration of the furoyl and 6-methyl-2-pyridyl groups with respect to the thiono S atom across the thio-urea C - N bonds. Intra-molecular N - H⋯O, N - H⋯N and C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds contribute to the essential planarity of the mol-ecular skeleton. In the crystal structure, weak inter-molecular N - H⋯S hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers.
