Model acceptance of school education leaders by drones in discipline management

Abstract

Drone is one the technologies that been widely used in the process of monitoring. Drone is capable to fly high and also can reach the places with obstacles in a short time. These reasons gives drone advantages to monitor everything excellently. Drone has high potential to be use in school discipline management. An experiment has been done to the school highest leadership to measure their acceptance level on the usage of drone in school discipline management. An instrument form four (4) constructs that contains 14 items with a 5-points likert scales has been made as a medium of perception to measure the school highest leadership acceptance on drone usage. The construct that been made is analyze using structural equation modelling (SEM) method. This item is based on technology acceptance model (TAM) with some additional construct from the original construct. Swap to Malay. The item aims to measure the relationship between the constructs and the perspective of the model being formed. Respondents are comprised of individuals involved in school management. Education officers at the Division, education officers at the State Education Department (NRD), education officers at the District Education Office (PPD), principals, headmasters and middle-level leaders comprising senior assistant administration, senior assistant student affairs and co-curricular senior assistant were selected as respondent. A total of 152 randomly selected respondents from the Eastern Zone (Terengganu and Pahang), Central Zone (Perak, Selangor and Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) and Sabah Zone (Sabah and Labuan Federal Labuan) have responded to this study. Item analysis for this study uses the SPSS Beta software to see item reliability level and the rate of normality of data distribution. SPSS AMOS version 23.0 is used to build drone acceptance model by education leaders in school discipline management. Questionnaire was adapted from the TAM Model by Davis (1989). This study finds that factors that have causal relevance for drone acceptance model among education leaders are four (4) main factors, namely technology compatibility, can be used with the appropriate benefits, easy to use and operate and have the desire to use dron technology in school discipline management. This finding is important for stakeholder planning in strengthening school discipline management with the help of more effective technology. Model Acceptance of school education leaders on the use of drones in school discipline management can be used as a guide to improve the level of acceptance of technology in general and drones specifically. This model can be used to measure the level of acceptance of education leaders in real situations.
