Lee's path loss model calibration and prediction for Jiza town, south of Amman city, Jordan at 900 Mhz

Abstract

This paper addresses path loss prediction by means of Lee's model for Jiza town, south of Amman city, Jordan. Data were supplied by mobile operators in Jordan in the frequency band of 900 MHz. A calibration for Lee's model is done using ten different locations in Jiza town. The calibrated Lee's, Hata, and Egli's path loss models were compared with respect to the original collected data from mobile operators. The calibrated Lee's model is found to have less RMSE compared to others, which suggests that this model is best representing such areas.
