Abstract

In this paper, the effect of manufacturing errors (MEs) on the performance of 1×2 optical power splitter is investigated in details. The ME, which is assumed to take regular shape, is considered in each section of the device. Simulation result shows that ME has a significant effect on the output power especially when it occurs in S-bends.
