Importance of age factor in the victims of sexual assault

Abstract

There is an alarming increase m the rate of all crimes in our society particularly the sex crimes against child victims of both genders. Most of the victims subjected to these types of assault are young, prepubertal children between six to sixteen years of age. This situation demands formulation of statutory law for offences against children.
