Abstract

Thermoluminescence dosimeters (TLD) have now been used for radiation safety purposes. Low percentage of fading for a long period of time is one of their advantages. Harshaw being one of the suppliers has documented that their TLD fading is less than 2% for a storage time not exceeding than three months. The present work carried-out at MINT tested the fading of Harshaw TLD-100H for a period of 30 days. Besides confirming on what has been documented, the study suggests that the TLD be read-out after a storage time of four days.
