Abstract

Changes in innovation keep on altering potential outcomes in the learning environment and add complexity to the existing and future teaching method. Thus, it is important to keep abreast with the learner's preferences and limitations. The main objective of this study is to explore factors driving mlearning adoption among self-directed learners. The qualitative inquiry involves gathering qualitative data from 190 postgraduate students in a local university in Malaysia, starting from April to May 2015. The qualitative results unravel two new factors which are 'mobility' and 'practicality'. Future work involves subsequent series of quantitative and qualitative investigation from different educational setting to triangulate the data for better understanding.
