Evaluation of software network analyzer prototyping using qualitative approach

Abstract

This paper presents architecture of software analyzer prototyping for heterogeneous services in campus environment and this software will undergo evaluation process using qualitative approach. For this research, focus groups are being used to develop survey instruments for measuring network administrator satisfaction with software network analyzer. Then, survey instruments will undergo testing and evaluation process for measuring the effectiveness of this software. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the capabilities of software prototype for analyzing and planning computer network performance. This study focuses on the characteristics and functionality of software network analyzer and the study conclude that this software prototyping has their strength and functionality. Evaluators mostly agreed this software network analyzer prototype is possible to utilize some of the campus problems in providing useful network architectural solutions and optimization of network resources during preparation, proposal and planning phases.
