Abstract

This paper presents the performance evaluation of AC contactor ride through capability and behavior during voltage sag with point-in-wave of initiation by simulation and experimental setup. The experimental result of the ride through capability curve is constructed and identified the sensitivity level and its failure area. Simulation results were compared well with the curve obtained experimentally to validate the ride through capability and the sensitivity of the AC contactor for any type of voltage sag with point-in-wave of initiation.
