Abstract

Co-metathesis reaction of methyl linoleate with ethene over WCl6 at catalyst in chlorobenzene at 30°C gave mainly methyl-9-decenoate and 1 -heptene. The co-metathesis conversion at various ethene pressures remained high. Increasing the ethene pressure led to the formation of more co-metathesis products in contrast with the self-metathesis of methyl linoleate itself.
