Abstract

Electrooculogram (EOG) signal is the physiological signal that represents the eye ball movements. In this paper, the behavior of EOG signal is studied from the nonlinear and chaotic viewpoint using Hurst exponent, Iterated Function System (IFS) plot, average mutual information and Lyapunov exponent. Our findings indicate that the EOG signal has deterministic chaotic characteristics and therefore can be used in prediction and/or detection purposes.
