Abstract

The aim of this article is: (1) to identify the nature of the political, economic, cultural, and security linkages between Australia and South-east Asia in the recent past, and to trace their development to the present; (2) to determine the impact of regional factors shaping the bilateral Australian-South-east Asian relationship; and (3) to assess the present and future inputs and outputs of this relationship to the emerging post-Cold War era. -from Author
