Assessing level of productivity with data envelopment analysis technology in senior high school (SMA) Dumai, Riau, Indonesia

Abstract

Technology in education is important, especially to increase the speed and efficiency in the process of education. Productivity and efficiency in the use of technology should be assessed and evaluated to the extent productivity in using the technology. In this paper, productivity stage of technology used in 12 senior high schools in Dumai using Data Envelopment Analysis Program (DEAP) analysis was conducted. Analysis found that 2, 4 and 2 schools did not change the level of productivity in terms of technical efficiency change (TEC), technological change (TC) and scale efficiency change (SE), respectively. All schools are affected significantly in terms of pure technical efficiency change (TE). The results imply that level productivity using technology is one of indicators to measure index school performance.
