A new lithium ion selective sensors based on self plasticising acrylic films and disposable screen printed electrode

Abstract

A new lithium ion-selective sensors was design based on self plasticizing acrylic films and disposable screen printed electrode (SPE). All sensors demonstrated good response and reproducibility (R.S.D. 1.51 %, n = 4). The linear response range was 0.1 to 10-6 M and the sensitivity was almost near Nersntian , i.e. close to 56.3 ± 0.85 mV/decade (n = 4). The lithium ionsensor from the self-plasticised film shown a detection limit of (8.2 ±0.78) × 10-7 M. Based on the FIM method, the sensor showed little interferences from,Ca2+,and Mg2+, but not for Na+ and K+.
