A comparative study of the baculum in Peninsular Malaysian hipposiderines

Abstract

The bacula of 10 species within the genus Hipposideros in Peninsular Malaysia were examined. The results show that the structure of the baculum is species-specific. Two evolutionary trends are postulated in terms of bacular morphology.
